"The Hidden Words" is a collection of short, powerful aphorisms revealed by Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith, during His exile in Baghdad in 1857-1858. This profound work is divided into two parts: the first part consists of 71 passages in Arabic, and the second part contains 82 passages in Persian. Each passage distills the essence of spiritual truths and ethical guidance, offering timeless wisdom for personal and spiritual development. Bahá'u'lláh describes "The Hidden Words" as a distillation of the spiritual guidance contained in the successive Revelations of God. The book is considered one of Bahá'u'lláh's pre-eminent ethical works, providing insights into the nature of the human soul, the purpose of life, and the path to spiritual fulfillment. Bahá'ís are encouraged to read and meditate on these passages daily, integrating their wisdom into their lives. First translated into English by Shoghi Effendi in 1929, "The Hidden Words" has since been translated into numerous languages, making its teachings accessible to a global audience. The book is regarded as a treasury of divine mysteries, offering profound insights and guidance for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of spiritual truths.
